Disclosure of Conflict of interest at the Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists

In accordance with Regulation on application of approval for Conflict of Interest Policy, published in June 2010, the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists (JSA) asks speakers at the annual meetings of the JSA, beginning in 2010, to disclose their status of Conflict of Interest.

When you submit your abstract, please declare whether there are conflicts of interest among affiliated business involved in the research and representative speakers including coauthors and co-researchers within the past three years.
Disclose your status of COI at your presentation at the annual meeting. Oral presenters must include the status into the second page of their slides. Poster presenters must indicate the status either at the beginning or the last of the poster.

If any of items 1. to 9. below exceeds separately stipulated criteria with respect to a covered individual, the individual shall have the obligation to accurately disclose by self-declaration the circumstances of the conflict of interest in accordance with the abstract submission form.

1. Position as an officer or advisor of a company or for-profit organization 2. Annual Profit exceeded 100 million yen from a company or for-profit organization 3. Annual Profit exceeded 100 million yen from the owned stock or possession of 5% of the issued stock 4. Patent royalties or licensing fees exceeded 100 million yen per a year from a company or for-profit organization 5. Honoraria (such as lecture fees) exceeded 100 million yen per a year from a company or for-profit organization paid as compensation for the time or labor of a researcher engaged for conference attendance (presentation) 6. Manuscript fees exceeded 100 million yen per a year paid by a company or for-profit organization as compensation for writing for a pamphlet or other publication 7. Research funding for a clinical research exceeded 200 million yen per a year provided by companies or for-profit organizations 8. Donation for Promotion of Learning exceeded 200 million yen per a year provided to a researcher 9. Other remuneration exceeded 300 thousand yen per a year (travel, gifts, or other in-kind payments not directly related to research)
