Journal of Anesthesia（JA）に次ぐ機関誌JA Clinical Reports（JACR）が創刊します．本誌の特徴は，学会員であれば投稿料が無料のOpen Journalであることです．Impact factorの上昇を目指すJAでの症例報告の採用が10％を切っており，せっかく書いてもほとんどが掲載されない状態が続いていました．そういった臨床に直結するような症例報告が会員や世界の麻酔科医の目に触れないのはとても残念であり，また執筆者の意欲を削ぐものでもありました．是非，過去に執筆した症例報告を含め，また若手麻酔科医の英文論文作成の登竜門として活用いただければと思います．JAに一度挑戦してもらってもいいですし，また直接JA Clinical Reportsに投稿してもらっても構いません．採用論文が数編集まるごとにネット配信していきます．もちろん，Index Medicusに収載され，PubMedなどでも検索できます．
