ASA採点のばらつきに関する調査結果について周知依頼がございました。
以下、原文でございます。
On behalf of our study team, a collaboration of dedicated HPB surgeons and anesthesiologists from all over the world,
we would kindly like to ask the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists to circulate our survey named:
“Variability in scoring American Society of Anesthesiologist Physical Status in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery (MILESTONE-2): A worldwide survey among surgeons and anesthesiologist”
Globally the ASA classification is seen as an important parameter. ASA is utilized, among other things,
for case mix adjustment to enable a valid comparison of the outcomes following HPB surgery among countries and hospitals.
However, a recent study identified great variability of ASA classification among large registries for pancreatic surgery;
for example ASA III/IV was scored in respectively 77.7% (NSQIP, mostly USA), 48.2% (Germany), 22.5% (the Netherlands), and 2.7% (Sweden) of patients.
By means of this international survey we want to assess variation in the ASA classification and gain more insight in the current opinion and clinical decision making of anesthesiologists and surgeons regarding the ASA classification in patients undergoing HPB surgery.
We hope that you would be interested in circulating the survey of this international collaborative effort, and would be interested to hear which procedure to follow.
